Bentley Mark VI Engine

Bentley's Mark VI model used a F-head streight-6 locomotive 4.3 L (4257 cc/259 in 3) in size. In the year of 1951, a 4.6 L (4566 cc/278 in 3) version of the locomotive was brought in. It was an inline six cylinder locomotive with similar SU carburetors and aluminium cylinder head.

The power produced was sent to the rear wheels courtesy of a four speed manual gearbox with single plate clutch. Around 94 mph of top speed was achieved. To stop power servo assisted drum brakes were provided and the suspensions were free with coil spring.

The During the six year production life span, the Bentley Mark VI saw very few changes. The main significant change was the adaptation of an enlarged engine which was introduced in 1951. The 4566 cc (4.5 liter) locomotive enhances the performance of the automobile.
