Bentley Java Introduction
The Bentley Java car model was first time introduced to the public at the Geneva Motor Show in 1994. At that time the front side styling was radically different form the Bentley and it was designed by Graham Hull. He also designed the four seater coupe and convertible with the help of Design Research Associates.
A twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter 32-valve V8 engine was developed by Cosworth Engineering. They are famous for the successful high performance Formula 1 engines. The engine was much smaller in size than that of the current or any post war Bentley model, the top speed of the car is 273 kph produced by the twin turbochargers.
The four speed automatic gearbox is present to send the power to the rear wheels. The wheels are made of alloy and 17 inch larger but helped as a compliment for the vehicle ambiance.
The car never went into production; however after few modifications Sultan of Brunei owns one of the original concepts. The car is seen by many as a antecedent to the Bentley Continental GTC.
