Bentley Corniche Introduction
The Bentley Corniche was produced in analog with the Rolls Royce variant. Although Corniche were sold in outnumbered, by Rolls Royce the Bentley version of Corniche was consider to be more exclusive and sportier.
These models were produced from 1971 to 1984. Total numbers of 149 cars were produced at the Willesden, London, mill by Rolls-Royces Mulliner-Park Ward coachbuilding business. Out of that 69 were Saloon and 80 were convertible.
The Bentley Corniche was built in both the styles, 2 doorway Fixed Head Coupe and Drop Head Coupe. The Corniche did gain from somewhat more might from its 6750cc V8 than the standard T-Type Saloon.
Later in 1980, Bentley Corniche was superseded by the similar Continental Convertible which arrived just in time for the Bentley renaissance.
